These terms govern your use of Soft17 (soft17.app). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
The service
Soft17 is an educational tool that teaches the mathematically optimal way to play blackjack (basic strategy). It is not a gambling service: no real-money wagering takes place on Soft17, and virtual chips or scores have no monetary value.
Accounts
You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity that happens under it. You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use the service.
Subscriptions and billing
The Pro plan is billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis at the price shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; your access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Acceptable use
You agree not to abuse the service — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it, resell it, or circumvent plan limits or security measures.
No gambling advice
Soft17 teaches strategy that minimises the house edge, but blackjack remains a game where the casino holds an advantage. Nothing on Soft17 is a promise of winnings or financial advice. If you choose to gamble, do it lawfully and responsibly.
Intellectual property
The Soft17 software, design and content are owned by Soft17 and protected by law. Your practice data remains yours.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soft17 is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
