Lesson 1 · The Game

What is Blackjack

Blackjack is one of the casino games with the lowest house edge. The goal is to beat the dealer without going over 21.

You don't need to hit exactly 21 — you just need more than the dealer, or wait for the dealer to bust.

Examples

Example 1

You have 19, dealer has 17 → you win.

Example 2

You have 22 → bust → you lose immediately, even if the dealer busts later.

Common mistake

Playing to reach 21 instead of playing to beat the dealer. Standing on 13 against a 6 feels weak — but the dealer busts often enough there to make standing the profitable play.
