A,8 (soft 19) and A,9 (soft 20) are strong hands. Stand almost always.
The only exception: soft 19 vs 6 with Ds (double if possible, otherwise stand).
Ds — the dealer is very weak and soft 19 has enough margin to double.
Always stand — soft 20 is a very strong hand.
