Lesson 4 · Card Counting

True Count Conversion

A +6 running count is huge with one deck left and almost nothing with five. Divide the running count by the decks remaining: that's the true count, the number every decision runs on.

Convention: TC = floor(RC ÷ decks remaining), estimating decks to the nearest half. RC +7 with 2 decks left → TC +3.
